Job Description:

High Moon Studios is looking for a talented and passionate Concept Artist to join our team!

We’re looking for someone excited about creating immersive environments and who has a strong understanding of architecture as well as organic environments, characters, weapons, and vehicles.

You’ll be joining a team of world-class concept artists in working on one of the most successful videogame franchises of all time, and if you are passionate about videogames, concept art, and have a strong portfolio, then we’d love to hear from you!

Please note that this role is a temporary position estimated to be 12 months. This role is open to remote work.

What you’ll be doing…

• Create inspirational artwork to define artistic vision and support game design.
• Produce creative designs from initial sketches to final concepts.
• Gather and organize references for the concept team.
• Paint over renders and screenshots in Photoshop.

To succeed you must have…

• 5+ years of experience creating high-quality 2D art, concepts, and designs for games.
• Strong proficiency in Photoshop.
• A strong foundation in traditional artistic skills, composition, rendering, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, character, and graphic design.
• Solid drawing fundamentals, along with traditional painting and rendering techniques.
• Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills, and a ask driven, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to observe, research, and analyze a variety of subject matters (i.e., history, architecture, construction, and how things are made).
• An openness for giving and receiving feedback, collaborating with others to share techniques and ideas, and a commitment to contributing to a positive team culture.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, including our proprietary tech.

We’d love it if you also have…

• Knowledge of 3D applications like Blender, Maya, Zbrush, Sketch-up, etc.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
