Description We are seeking an experienced Research Assistant 2 to support biochemical and molecular biology studies. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory techniques and assist with maintaining efficient daily operations. Primary duties include: * Perform molecular biology and protein biochemistry protocols, such as cloning and plasmid preparation, PCR, genomic DNA isolation, protein extraction, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation. * Perform in vitro cell culture and cell biology experiments. * Maintain lab inventories and stock solutions; order supplies. * Maintain a clean, orderly and safe lab environment. * Assist with data organization and analysis. Salary Range: $28.88/hour - $46.46/hour May convert to career. Qualifications * Minimum of two years of hands-on experience conducting molecular or cell biology experiments in a research laboratory (relevant internship or volunteer experience may be considered). * Demonstrated proficiency in cell culture techniques. * Computer literacy, including experience with data entry, spreadsheets, or analysis software (e.g. GraphPad). * Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
