E-Commerce Shopper

Green Island Grocery is looking for part- and full-time E-Commerce Shoppers to join our team in Columbus, Georgia! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and staging online grocery orders for timely pickup or delivery. Attention to detail, product knowledge, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience is essential—even when the interaction is digital.

Pay : Starting at $12/hour, offer dependent on experience

The right candidate will have:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior experience in grocery, retail, or e-commerce fulfillment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
• Familiarity with grocery categories and perishables handling
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on foot throughout the shift
• Comfortable using handheld devices or apps for order tracking
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused

Our E-Commerce Shopper will:

• Review incoming online orders and prioritize based on pickup/delivery windows
• Select high-quality items that meet customer preferences, including produce, meat, seafood, and specialty goods
• Check expiration and sell-by dates to ensure customers receive the freshest available products
• Inspect eggs for cracks and select fruit based on ripeness, appearance, and customer notes
• Communicate substitutions clearly and follow store protocols for out-of-stock items
• Pack orders efficiently and securely, maintaining product integrity and temperature control
• Stage completed orders in designated areas for pickup or delivery handoff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the e-commerce staging area
• Collaborate with store departments to resolve order issues and ensure fulfillment accuracy
• Provide friendly service to customers during pickup, answering questions and assisting with loading if needed
