Job Description

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

We are a growing and dynamic CPA firm looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Bilingual (Spanish/English) Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of accounting and tax responsibilities, including data entry, payroll reporting, financial statement preparation, and tax return filings.

Position Details:

- Location: In-office during tax season, with the option to transition to a hybrid schedule afterward
- Hours: Part-time or full-time availability, with flexible hours and increased availability during tax season
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting:
- Handle full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements to clients.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely filing of sales tax returns.

Tax Preparation:
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and assist clients with any tax-related questions.

Software & Reporting:
- Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial management.
- Leverage Excel to conduct financial analysis and generate detailed reports.

Client Communication & Support:
- Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) support to a diverse client base, ensuring clear communication.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide outstanding customer service in both languages.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Fluent in Spanish and English - Required
- Proven experience in preparing income tax returns (individuals, corporations, and partnerships)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel - Required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple clients
