Job Description

Production Planning

1. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
2. Allocate resources (manpower, machines, materials) based on production schedules
3. Optimize production sequences to minimize downtime

Inventory & Material Management

1. Coordinate with purchase department for raw material procurement
2. Maintain minimum stock levels and avoid material shortages
3. Track material usage and wastage

Monitoring & Control

1. Track work orders and ensure timely completion
2. Identify production delays and coordinate solutions
3. Monitor machine utilization and efficiency

Coordination & Reporting

1. Liaise between production, quality control, and dispatch teams
2. Prepare MIS reports on production status, delivery timelines, and bottlenecks
3. Assist management in capacity planning and forecasting

Process Improvement

1. Suggest improvements in production flow and resource allocation
2. Implement lean manufacturing principles where applicable
