Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Plant Controller to join our team in Midland, Texas. The ideal candidate will manage critical financial operations, including settlements, invoicing, and gross margin reporting, while ensuring accuracy and compliance within a midstream accounting environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Responsibilities: - Calculate liquid and gas settlements to generate producer payments for assigned systems. - Prepare and send sales invoices while monitoring payments and reviewing accounts receivable aging for specific assets. - Process monthly journal entries and compile detailed gross margin reports. - Validate measurement volumes, scheduled volumes, and third-party pipeline statements to track monthly imbalances. - Create and distribute settlement, imbalance, and operator statements to relevant stakeholders. - Address customer inquiries related to settlements and provide timely assistance. - Maintain and update company records, including address changes, ensuring data accuracy. - Prepare monthly truck settlements, process journal entries, and generate margin reports. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required. - Familiarity with midstream accounting practices and associated software is preferred. - Proficiency in computer applications and financial tools. - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, with strong organizational and communication skills. - At least 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, or similar fields. - Experience with month-end close processes and standard cost accounting is highly desirable. - Ability to work in both office and industrial environments, occasionally requiring personal protective equipment. - Willingness to travel overnight occasionally and adapt to varying workplace conditions.
