As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications. Shifts will primarily be during daylight/evening hours. * Pharmacy Assistant: ($18.49 - $27.76)
* Pharmacy Technician: ($18.89 - $28.39)
* Certified Pharmacy Technician: ($19.76 - $29.64)
Responsibilities:
+ Repackage, prepare, and label medications, IV solutions, and non-sterile compounds; perform calculations and complete documentation.
+ Deliver, transfer, and remove medications across patient care units; ensure pharmacist review before dispensing.
+ Handle controlled substances per protocol.
+ Respond to phone calls, assist customers, and manage pneumatic tube station.
+ Fill and deliver interdepartmental orders; inspect and remove expired or recalled medications.
+ Operate pharmacy equipment (e.g., dispensing cabinets, computers, fax machines).
+ Maintain clean and organized pharmacy workspaces.
+ Complete documentation for medication credits, charges, and logs.
+ Travel between facilities as needed.
+ Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and other hospital staff.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Employment experience required (one of the following is required):
+ Prior pharmacy technician experience
+ College Degree (minimally an Associates degree) and previous related healthcare experience
+ Completion of a formal pharmacy technician certificate course
+ Completion of one full year of education at a college/university with an accredited school of pharmacy and enrolled in coursework working towards a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
