Job Description

Position Title: Part-Time Prep/Busser/Dishwasher - Evening Shifts.

Location: The Grove Coffee Shop & Speakeasy.

Reports To: Shift Supervisor / Kitchen Manager.

Position Summary:

The Prep/Busser/Dishwasher plays a key role in keeping our kitchen and dining areas running smoothly during busy evening service. This position is responsible for supporting the kitchen team with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in both the kitchen and front-of-house, bussing tables quickly and efficiently, and ensuring all dishware, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Prep: Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
• Bussing: Clear and reset tables promptly, ensuring guests enjoy a clean and welcoming environment.
• Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment, wash pots, pans, and utensils, and ensure all items are properly sanitized and stored.
• Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, dish area, and storage spaces; sweep, mop, and take out trash as needed.
• Restocking: Refill kitchen stations, dish stations, and service areas with clean dishes, utensils, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Team Support: Assist kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders as needed to keep service flowing smoothly.
• Health & Safety: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local and state health regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required - training provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a warm, busy environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Schedule & Pay:

• Part-time, evening shifts (approx. 4-6 hours per shift).
• Weekend availability preferred.
• Competitive hourly wage plus tip share.
