Join Wellmark as an Organizational Development Consultant and play a pivotal role in shaping our culture and driving growth across the enterprise!

In this dynamic position, you’ll design, deliver, and consult on foundational and strategic learning and development programs that empower both employees and leaders. You’ll collaborate with Human Resources and business partners to create innovative, measurable learning solutions for a hybrid workforce, championing initiatives such as New Employee Orientation, New Leader Onboarding, and leadership development. Your expertise will help us optimize our strength-based foundation and drive digital transformation in an environment committed to continuous improvement and high performance.

Qualifications



Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5–8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Certification (preferred) and experience in adult learning theory and principles; strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; proven ability to engage learners and design, develop, and deliver enterprise-wide training (classroom and online). Demonstrated success in measuring learning outcomes.
  • Digital learning expertise with experience delivering synchronous and asynchronous solutions for hybrid environments; proficiency in Microsoft Teams preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver programs and ensure sustainability through strong organizational skills.
  • Broad perspective across multiple businesses and industries.
  • Ability to leverage market research, emerging technologies, and benchmarks to create and deploy innovative learning experiences.
  • Skilled in building relationships and conducting critical conversations.
  • Possesses strong executive presence, enabling effective influence and leadership in complex, cross-functional settings. 
  • Demonstrated consulting experience with the ability to influence decisions using sound judgment and data analysis; experience supporting change management through effective planning and collaboration.
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic skills; ability to synthesize business information, identify connections across initiatives, and work cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights and recommendations. 

Additional Information



a. Execute delivery, and evaluation of strategic employee and leader-focused L&D initiatives and programs to a wide range of audiences, across multiple levels and divisions within the company. A primary responsibility includes managing and facilitating New Employee Orientation.

b. Execute the employee development strategy as aligned to Success Expectations. Deliver development opportunities to these employee behaviors.

c. Support and facilitate New Leader Onboarding as an engaging, relevant workshop that addresses current and emerging needs within the organization. Continuously assess feedback and learning outcomes to refine program content and delivery methods, ensuring alignment with business objectives and participant growth. 

d. Serve as program manager for key leadership development programming. This includes scheduling sessions, managing resources, and ensuring smooth execution. In addition, this role will contribute to providing resources for leaders as they guide and coach to help strengthen skillsets on their teams.

e. Collaborate with LD Leader to lead execution of development and performance improvement strategies and methodologies that drive employee success in a hybrid environment, including digital transformation strategies. Deliver programs that support these strategies and reinforce a strengths-based foundation. Provide timely, effective and accurate information and feedback to stakeholders.

f. Consult with cross-functional L&D teams to improve skills and competencies concerning all aspects of Learning and Development.

g. Utilize data analytics to effectively consult, and influence decisions related to shaping division and department level strategy and goals.

h. Execute strategic initiatives as a tactical response to L&D issues/opportunities that arise.
