Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Telemundo Colorado is seeking a News Anchor - Multimedia Journalist responsible for the on-air delivery of daily newscasts. The role requires candidates to shoot, write & edit news stories for all our platforms, including broadcast, web, social media, and OTT. The individual will work closely with producers to ensure stories are accurately written and presented on all platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Present newscasts to the viewer professionally, including breaking news during live newscasts, outside regularly scheduled newscasts, and on all our news platforms, including digital, social media, and OTT.
• Set up, shoot, write, and edit news stories for the station's newscasts, recorded programs, and/or other live station broadcasts - either in the studio or out on location.
• Write and produce stories, headlines, and news updates for broadcast and all digital platforms, including OTT.
• Present a completed story with fair, accurate, and community-relevant content.
• Generate ideas and report breaking news in the studio or location.
• Coordinate, organize, and conduct interviews.
• Actively involved in sharing news content on Social Media platforms.
• Follow NBC – Telemundo Social Media Policies and Standards
• Anchor special projects and non-news shows.
• Research, plan, and schedule stories or segments.
• Be expected to report/anchor from the field, live shots, interviews, and package stories.
• Make appearances at community events, including with social and civic groups and at schools and colleges, on behalf of the station.
• Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the Colorado market.
• Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.
• Must understand the station's mission and priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a television reporter; Anchoring Experience Shooting and Editing Skills with various editing software.
• BA or BS in Journalism or Communications preferred.
• Must have excellent Spanish Language writing skills and powerful speech skills.
• Must be able to ad-lib effortlessly in several situations, particularly breaking news.
• Enterprise reporting skills preferred. Strong live reporting skills are necessary.
• Must be able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines.
• Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work any of the 24x7 shifts and willingness to work long hours and on weekends and holidays with short notice.

• Must be willing to work in Centennial, CO.

• Creative with unique story ideas for development.

Salary range - $75k-$95k based on experience
