The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. Medical Scribe works closely with physicians and healthcare providers, documenting patient encounters in real-time or by dictation to enhance the efficiency of clinical operations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and thorough medical records.

Three month assignment

Duties

• Accurately document patient histories, examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
• Assist healthcare providers in maintaining comprehensive and organized medical records.
• Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and outpatient procedures relevant to the specialty area.

Skills

• Proficient understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Experience or familiarity with medical administrative support systems.
• Knowledge of outpatient care processes and protocols.
• Understanding of medication administration procedures within a clinical setting.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Two (2) years work experience.

Hourly: $25 and based on experience.
