POSITION OVERVIEW

Relentless Hospitality Collective is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly adaptable Hospitality Trainer to lead the development of front-of-house service teams across a diverse range of food and beverage environments. This hybrid role plays a vital part in shaping guest experiences by cultivating service excellence, nurturing team culture, and ensuring consistency across restaurants, catering events, and elite athletic dining programs.

Whether training a new server at one of our Scottsdale locations, coaching a catering lead at a private event, or onboarding a temporary staff at a sports facility across the country—this role will lead by example and reinforce the brands' high service standards, warm professionalism, and hospitality-first culture. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality, thrives on developing others, and is energized by variety and travel.

WORK HOURS

This role is required to work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week. They must be able to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs. Scheduling may include nights and weekends depending on events and functions. Some travel may be required based on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES include but are not limited to:

TRAINING & ONBOARDING

  • Design, implement, and lead engaging onboarding sessions for new hires across restaurants, catering teams, and traveling service crews—ensuring a strong understanding of brand standards and guest experience expectations.
  • Conduct interactive roleplay sessions, mock services, and shadow training for roles such as servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, and event captains.
  • Create personalized training plans in collaboration with leadership to support new team members and build confidence in their roles.
  • Deliver consistent reinforcement of hospitality standards, from greeting and seating to tableside manner, timing, flow, and final guest touches.

LIVE SERVICE & EVENT EXECUTION

  • Serve as an on-the-ground leader during high-profile events, private dining experiences, restaurant openings, and team meal service at sports venues.
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback to front-of-house staff during live service to improve guest interaction, service pacing, and team synergy.
  • Lead pre-service meetings and post-event recaps to communicate goals, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
  • Ensure that service standards align with both the brand promise and guest expectations across all event formats.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT

  • Maintain and regularly update FOH training documents, service manuals, and digital training content (e.g., Trainual) to ensure accuracy and alignment with current menus, systems, and brand tone.
  • Develop training guides for special formats such as buffet service, tray passing, private chef dinners, VIP athlete service, and bar/cocktail execution.
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen trainers and operations teams to create a unified service experience that connects front and back of house.
  • Offer ongoing mentorship and follow-up training to high-potential team members, event leads, and new FOH supervisors.

SERVICE STANDARDS & BRAND ADVOCACY

  • Uphold and promote the core hospitality principles of both Pivot Culinary Management (performance-fueled, purpose-driven dining) and The Herb Box (locally inspired, guest-centered restaurant and catering service).
  • Monitor service quality, client feedback, and perform service audits.
  • Ensure FOH teams are not only delivering on logistics, but creating experiences that reflect warmth, respect, connection, and professionalism and drive repeat clientele.
  • Act as a voice of hospitality culture within the organization—bringing empathy, energy, and integrity to every training touchpoint.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 4–6 years of progressive hospitality experience, including restaurants, event service, or catering (2+ years in a leadership or training role preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of full-service dining, private events, and guest flow in both casual and upscale settings.
  • Background in service training, guest relations, or team development strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting and leading training in both small and large groups.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; able to manage competing priorities with calm confidence.
  • Must be ServSafe and/or alcohol service certified (or willing to obtain immediately).
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel both locally and nationally.
