Job Title: GSS Mud Logging Analyst

Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $18 $19/hr on W2
Per Diem: $35/day (travel & standby days)
Other Benefits: Mileage reimbursement; SLB may provide ground transport
Description:
The GSS Mud Logging Analyst delivers safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers by monitoring wells, maintaining sensors/equipment, and providing high-quality wellsite data. This role identifies opportunities for improved service delivery, follows standard work, and ensures HSE compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Describe lithology and collect rock samples
Monitor, record, and process well data; compile reports (End of Well, ad hoc, daily)
Support mud logging unit operations
Maintain offshore unit cleanliness and organization
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
Interact professionally with personnel and customer representatives
Experience & Skills:
2 years preferred; entry-level candidates and recent grads welcome
Deepwater experience a plus, not required
Strong teamwork, schedule flexibility
No specific software experience required (training provided)
Education:
Bachelor's degree required (Geoscience preferred)
Certifications Required:
TWIC card
RigPass / SafeGulf
HUET
Work Environment:
Offshore, 12-hour shifts (avg. 88 92 hrs/week)
Rotation: typically 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off (flexible)
Physical Demands & Safety:
Must pass fit-for-duty medical
Must comply with all offshore safety protocols
