Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN . The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Bonus Options: Up to a $20,000 ( paid out as a stipen )

Shift’s Available : Nights

Employment Type : Full Time

Hours : 12hr shifts – 7 :00 pm to 7:00am

Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX

Responsibilities

If you have experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ) , Cardiac Care, Telemetry or Emergency Department, you are encouraged to apply!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• A ssess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions

• P rovide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain

• I n cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care

• M anage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events

• E ducate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers . You must have: 

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
