Job Description
The Endoscopy Clinical Coordinator oversees the operations and clinical standards of an Endoscopy unit, ensuring safe, efficient and high quality patient care. Full time, leadership position with on-call responsibilities of one night a week and every 5th weekend, must be within 30 minutes of call.
* Leadership & Management
* Supervise and support nursing staff in the endoscopy department
* Conduct performance evaluations and manage recruitment and onboarding
* Foster a collaborative and professional work environment
* Clinical Oversight
* Ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
* Validate referrals and manage scheduling in line with best practices
* Monitor and enforce infection control protocols and hand hygiene compliance
* Quality & Compliance
* Implement and monitor quality assurance and safety standards
* Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
* Act as liaison for audits and accreditation processes
* Education & Training
* Provide ongoing education and mentorship to nursing staff
* Promote clinical learning and development opportunities
* Participate in teaching and assessment of staff competencies
* Operational Duties
* Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
* Oversee equipment maintenance, sterilization, and inventory control
* Coordinate with physicians and anesthesia providers for continuity of care
* Work closely with medical personnel, social care professionals, and hospital leadership
* Contribute to policy developmentand strategic planning for the endoscopy unit
* Support research and innovationin clinical practices and patient care models
Requirements:
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
* Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records
* Collaborative relationships with medical personnel, health professionals, and administrative staff
* Graduation from Accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor's Degree (BSN) required
* Vermont RN license required
* BLS and ACLS required
* 3-5 years post registration experience with specific experience in Endoscopy strongly preferred (or) 3- 5 years experience in perioperative services required
* 1-2 years Leadership/Management role required

* Pay Range:$46.00-$56.00;
* Work Status:8am-5pm, on call responsibilities one night a week and every 5th weekend;
