Job Description

Salary: $124,300 - 189,700 per year Requirements:

  • I hold a Bachelor's Degree and have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, or site reliability engineering.
  • I also have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership position managing and mentoring DevSecOps teams.
  • My expertise includes a deep understanding of modern DevSecOps methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • I possess extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with proven knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • I am proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash and have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevSecOps).
  • Additionally, I am familiar with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and understand containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
  • I have experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk) as well as with compliance standards like HIPAA and FedRAMP.
  • I exhibit excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Relevant cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevSecOps Engineer, Azure DevSecOps Engineer Expert) and IT security certifications (e.g., CISSP) are preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • I will drive the DevOps culture within the organization by developing best practices, standards, and procedures and educating the Engineering team on them.
  • It is my responsibility to simplify and standardize our CI/CD pipeline to ensure the continuous release of new features while maintaining system stability.
  • I continually evaluate new technologies and determine their integration timing into our environment, acting as a thought leader.
  • I will provide security guidance and standards that elevate our security remediation and integration practices, ensuring our systems remain secure.
  • Monitoring team performance is key, and I will provide critical feedback regularly, establish improvement plans when needed, and conduct quarterly performance reviews with my reports to ensure I am invested in their growth.
  • I’ll develop, maintain, and communicate DevSecOps-related metrics, which will be shared organizationally and with senior leadership.
  • It will be my responsibility to build, maintain, and support our DevOps CI/CD pipeline with a focus on best-in-class automation and security.
  • I will make key decisions on evolving our platform technology, carefully balancing technical debt with new investments to drive our technology forward.
