The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our medical team and oversee the clinical operations of our healthcare organization. The CMO will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery. Responsibilities

  • Manage utilization management processes to optimize resource allocation and improve patient outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Lead clinical research initiatives to advance knowledge in patient care practices and treatment methodologies.
  • Supervise medical staff, providing guidance and support for professional development and performance improvement.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical development to inform best practices.
  • Utilize EMR and EHR systems effectively to enhance operational efficiency and patient data management.

The Profile

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in a relevant specialty.
  • Extensive experience in hospital settings with a strong background in managed care and healthcare management.
  • Proven track record in project management within clinical environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical research methodologies and FDA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of NCQA standards related to quality assurance in healthcare delivery.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising medical teams.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR systems for efficient patient record management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data related to patient care outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
