Job Description

Eurofins PSS is seeking an accountable, well-organized, and detail-oriented team player to join our team in La Jolla, CA. The successful candidate will join our research team, focusing on high throughput molecular techniques, contributing to multiple experiments simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate excellent aseptic technique with meticulous attention to detail
• Navigate a fast-paced lab environment, handling multiple projects at the same time, including bacterial cultures, PCR, DNA/RNA purification, ELISA and other molecular and bioanalytical techniques. .
• Utilize automated platforms and liquid handlers to conduct high throughput testing
• Quickly identify any potential issues with experiments or analysis, troubleshooting and addressing or escalating these as needed
• Analyze and summarize data, document data properly in electronic lab notebook (ELN), and update experiment files in a timely manner
• Learn new techniques, cross-training, and supporting other areas as needed

Qualifications

Basic Minimum

Qualifications

• BS in Biochemistry or relatable field with at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
• Must have hands-on experience with aseptic technique, bacterial cell culture, and a mix of multiple molecular techniques (PCR, ELISA, DNA/RNA purification, etc.)
•  Excellent communication, written and oral, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Ability to learn and utilize computer systems including equipment specific software, Microsoft applications, and for charting and recording information.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automation systems and liquid handling instrumentation
• Experience utilizing an electronic lab notebook (ELN)

Additional Information

Position is full-time  Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm  with overtime as needed.   Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of La Jolla , CA   are encouraged to apply.
