Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated OTR Cargo Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, proficiency in operating vans/box trucks, and excellent time management skills.

Duties

• Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations according to scheduled routes.
• Navigate effectively using maps or GPS systems to optimize delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Load cargo using manual handling techniques as needed, ensuring that it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections (pre- and post-trip) and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while driving and handling freight, including all federal and state DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients and reporting any issues.

Experience

• Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required or minor moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Proven time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Working Conditions:

• Extensive time on the road, overnight and multi-day trips required.
• (3) Weeks on the road and (1) week home.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
