Business Systems Analyst DCA 2216

Work Arrangement: Remote

Location: U.S.-based (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months | 2,080 Total Hours

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only.

Engagement Type: W-2 only. No sponsorships, Corp-to-Corp, or 1099 arrangements permitted.

Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst VI is responsible for facilitating complex projects from proposal through post-implementation. This role involves gathering requirements from business stakeholders, ensuring applications align with end-user needs, and leading testing and functional specification activities. The analyst will act as a liaison between business and technology teams while providing leadership and mentoring to less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare well-documented functional specifications, test plans, test scripts, and execute test scripts for assigned projects.
  • Perform research and analysis of complex data to ensure accurate functional design.
  • Serve as mentor to less experienced staff, providing training, research support, and guidance on project methodology.
  • Schedule and facilitate project team meetings, document discussions, and track outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and provide feedback on application design and functionality.
  • Coordinate and provide estimates for projects, including timelines and resource requirements.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in and document data mapping for system integration, conversions, and acquisition-related projects.
  • Prepare and manage test plans, coordinate with testing teams, and execute functional tests to validate application changes.
  • Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure adherence to scope, business requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and manage post-implementation feedback, issue resolution, and project close-out activities.
  • Assist in developing budgets and staff appraisals.
  • Adhere to Clients risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and lateral thinking abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple components of complex projects.
  • Experience coordinating between applications and business units.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Subject matter expertise in business applications and systems.
  • Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Ability to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Strong background in document management, document taxonomy management, and records management .
