Job Description

Job Summary:


The Senior Business Analyst will support various projects across the organization, focusing on eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, particularly for data integration and interoperability. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with multiple teams.

Responsibilities:


- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for projects.
- Identify, document, and validate mappings between source system data fields and FHIR resources.
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and decision items for various audiences, including senior leadership.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and support discussions with stakeholders, documenting and communicating outcomes.
- Develop test strategies and plans, and coordinate testing activities, including user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and work with teams to resolve issues related to interoperability between systems.
- Analyze data related to interoperability, document current and future state processes, and assess the impact of proposed changes.
- Develop process flows, user stories, use cases, metrics, and KPIs.
- Write, proofread, and edit technical and end-user documentation.
- Support testing, QA, and go-live activities.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions.
- Support change management efforts by communicating project impacts and benefits.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and work effectively with multiple teams.

Required Skills & Certifications:


- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on data integration or interoperability projects.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:


- Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications for data integration and reports.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements documentation.
- Experience with FHIR and HL7 protocols.
- Familiarity with one or more major EMR systems.
- Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to navigate and build strong relationships in a complex environment.
- Conceptual thinking with excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, and consulting skills.
- Experience developing test strategies, plans, and coordinating testing activities.
