Become a Member of Our Field Staff:

Here at Lakeside Foods, our Field Maintenance team is the backbone of our field operations, ensuring proper operation of the agriculture department. The Agricultural Field Maintenance Technician Intern will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks with the Agriculture Department. If you are a creative problem-solver who likes to work outdoors during the summer months we want to talk with you.

  What You’ll Do:

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Report all injuries to the Field Superintendent.
• Assist with training in the safe, proper, and efficient operation of field equipment.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Agriculture Managers and Supervisors.
• Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
• Notify management immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

  What You’ll Bring:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Agricultural experience/knowledge.
• Currently enrolled in an agricultural or mechanical engineering program.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians and Agriculture Managers.
• Ability to perform all job duties and task in accordance with best and safe practices.
